Born in 1936, 86 years old Chiyoko, at the age of 9, was exposed to radiation 10.5 km away from the hypocenter, when she was working in the farm with her mother. She has been leading the lawsuit for more than 20 years to tell how internal exposure to radiation impacts human bodies. She experienced the atomic bombing, but has never officially recognized as a Hibakusha (Atomic Bombing survivor).
