Leo Hoffmann-Axthelm founded the German office of ICAN in 2013, and has been the Brussels-representative for the global ICAN campaign vis-à-vis since 2015, working in particular with the EU institutions, but also on NATO issues with regard to nuclear weapons. He participated in negotiations leading to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, and was a member of ICAN's delegation to the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo. Leo is also the advisor on Economic and Monetary Affairs for the Greens in the European Parliament.
