Mitchie Takeuchi, a Hiroshima native, is a long time New York City resident, entrepreneur, filmmaker and activist. Her grandfather survived the atomic bombing in Hiroshima while the director of the Red Cross Hospital. Wanting to share what really happened beneath the mushroom cloud, Mitchie produced THE VOW FROM HIROSHIMA —interweaving the life story of Hiroshima survivor Setsuko Thurlow, intergenerational activism and the success of the nuclear weapons ban treaty resulting in the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize.
