Volunteering at the ICAN Nuclear Ban Forum:

The ICAN Nuclear Ban Forum is the place to be for everyone who wants to ban nuclear weapons for good and help as a volunteer. We need helping hands from the 17th of June (set up day) to the 19th of June (last day of the Forum) at the Aula der Wissenschaften (Wollzeile 27A, 1010 Vienna, Austria).

We guarantee that you do not have to work as a volunteer for more than half of the time of the event!

Other events during Nuclear Ban Week Vienna:

  • 20th of June - The Vienna Conference on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons (HINW22Vienna) is a one-day expert-level meeting organised by the Austrian government to focus attention and deepen engagement on the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons. ICAN is also working with the Austrian Parliament to hold a parliamentary conference on this day.
  • 21st-23rd of June - First Meeting of States Parties to the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons was a ground-breaking effort. Now States Parties to the treaty will meet for the first time to agree on concrete steps for how to put this historic treaty into action.

How old do I have to be to be able to apply?

You need to be 18 years or older

Can I apply if I am only available for one day?

YES! We are happy to have you apply even if your availability is limited. That does not mean your chances for being accepted are not as good. We are excited if you are!

When will I know if I am selected as a volunteer?

We will get in touch with you a week after the application deadline (you will know by June 8th!)

What are the benefits for volunteering?
