Pedro Alonzo is an independent curator who specializes in working with artists and organizations to develop ambitious artworks in public spaces. He has worked with artists such as Sam Durant, Jeppe Hein, Alicja Kwade, JR and Doug Aitken to address topics such as mass incarceration, systemic racism, mindfulness, immigration and humanity’s uncertain future. He worked with the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and Pedro Reyes on Amnesia Atómica, an art campaign designed to reintroduce the issue of nuclear threat into the public narrative.
