Rosa Logar
Rosa Logar is the Co-founder of the WILPF Austria Group (Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom). She is also the Executive Director of the Domestic Violence Intervention Center Vienna, a co-founder of the first women’s shelter in Austria (1978), and a co-founder and advisory board member of the European Network WAVE (Women Against Violence Europe, 1994). She has been engaged in the Council of Europe Task Force to Combat Violence against Women, the Council of Europe’s Ad Hoc Committee on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence which drafted the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention, 2011), and a member of the independent expert committee GREVIO in monitoring the Istanbul Convention.
